About the Scholarships

  • Scholarships are for seniors graduating from Mamaroneck High School

  • Eligibility is based on financial need. In determining eligibility and the amount of award, SAF uses the following formula: College’s Cost of Attendance -Student Aid Index from FAFSA

  • Scholarships are for two years, typically ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per year

  • Students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited two or four-year college or technical program to use SAF funds

  • Scholarship funds are paid at the beginning of each semester directly to the student's schoolā€‹ā€‹

Application Instructions

  • Please complete the on-line application, linked in the buttons above

  • Application Due Date - March 28, 2025

  • Submit a copy of your FSS (FAFSA Submission Summary) or, if you are ineligible to complete the FAFSA, a copy of your parent(s’) Federal Income Tax Return (IRS Form 1040) at the time you submit your application. If not available at the time of submission, no later than the due date

  • Email the Supā€‹plemental Documents listed below to saf@mamkschools.org as soon as available 

  • If you need assistance with the application or have any questions, please contact the MHS Financial Aid Advisor at financialaid@mamkschools.org or SAF at saf@mamkschools.org

Supplemental Documents Required

  • A copy of your Financial Aid Award from the college you will attend. You may not have this information until you have made a final college decision

  • A copy of the COA (Cost of Attendance) from the college you will attend. This information might be found on your Financial Aid Award from your college. If it is not included there, please find it on the college’s website

Additional Information About the Application Process

  • SAF may request additional financial information

  • SAF will conduct in person, short informational meetings with all candidates in late April during the school day. You will be contacted by email to set up your meeting time

  • SAF makes award decisions in mid-May. All applicants will be notified by email 

  • All SAF Scholars are strongly encouraged to attend the awards recognition reception, held each year in June

All scholarship applications and information submitted will remain confidential with SAF and the MHS Financial Aid Advisor.
