About the Scholarships

  • Scholarships are for seniors graduating from Mamaroneck High School (MHS)

  • Eligibility is based on financial need

  • Scholarships are for two years, typically ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per year

  • Students must be accepted to an accredited two or four-year college or technical program

  • Students must be enrolled full-time

  • Scholarship funds are paid at the beginning of each semester directly to the student's school​​

Application Instructions

  1. Please complete the on-line application, linked in the buttons below, in one sitting as the application form does not support saving and continuing.

  2. Upload the Sup​plemental Documents listed below at the time of submission of your form. If that is not possible, please send the Supplemental Documents to MLSAFapplications@gmail.com as soon as available after you have submitted the application form. If you need assistance with this application or have questions about your Supplemental Documents, please contact the MHS Financial Aid Advisor via email: financialaid@mamkschools.org

  3. Student and Parent/Guardian signatures are required.

Supplemental Documents Required

  1. A copy of your SAR (Student Aid Report) from your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). If you are unable to complete the FAFSA, please contact the MHS Financial Aid Advisor for alternative documentation.

  2. A copy of your Financial Aid Award from the college you will attend. You may not have this information until you have made a final college decision. Please submit it to the MHS Financial Aid Advisor or directly to MLSAFapplications@gmail.com as soon as it is available to you.

  3. A copy of the COA (Cost of Attendance) from the college you will attend. This information might be found on your Financial Aid Award from your college. If it is not included there, please find it on the college’s website.​

Additional Information About the Application Process

  • MLSAF may request additional financial information.

  • MLSAF will conduct in person, short informational meetings with all candidates in late April during the school day. You will be contacted by email about your meeting time.

  • MLSAF makes award decisions in mid-May. All applicants will be notified by email and by mail to the address on your application form after decisions are made.

  • All SAF Scholars are strongly encouraged to attend the awards recognition reception, held each year in June.

All scholarship applications and information submitted will remain confidential with MLSAF and the MHS Financial Aid Advisor.
